釋曰：自下第二凡聖取境勝劣差別。文別有二：初明凡境得假非實、後明聖境得實非假。此即初也。

Commentary: From here down, the second [part] treats the difference in superiority and inferiority between ordinary persons and noble ones in apprehending cognitive objects. The text has two distinct parts: first, explaining that the ordinary person's cognitive object grasps designations and not the real; later, explaining that the noble one's cognitive object grasps the real and not designations. This is the first.
