釋曰：自下第二廣釋前難。文別有二：初引七佛偈以釋一異、後長行中申今佛說以通前難。前中有二：初長行發起、後正引頌文。此即初也。

Commentary: From here on is the second part, extensively explaining the previous dilemma. The text is divided into two parts: first, citing the verses of the seven buddhas to explain one and different; second, in the prose, setting forth this Buddha's teaching to resolve the previous dilemma. In the first part there are two: first, the prose initiates [the verses]; second, directly citing the verse text. This is the first part.
