Explanation: From here down is the second part: setting forth the present Buddha's explanation of the meaning of oneness and twoness. The text has two distinct parts: first, explaining the meaning of twoness; thereafter, from "Buddhas and" down, explaining the meaning of oneness. This is the meaning of twoness. That is, the Buddha tells the Great King that bodhisattva-mahāsattvas, within the paramārtha-satya, constantly illumine the two truths in order to transform sentient beings. By means of prajñā, they constantly illumine the ultimate truth and do not cling to saṃsāra, which differs from ordinary beings; by means of great compassion, they constantly illumine conventional truth and do not cling to nirvāṇa, which differs from the two vehicles. This is the meaning of twoness.
