釋曰：第二、如來正答。文別有三：初隨問略答、次「若菩薩」下廣釋、後「眾生品品」下結。文中有二：初明觀門、後明所觀法。此即初也。謂所說觀門非但一二，乃至無量。

Exposition: Second, the Tathāgata's direct reply. The text has three parts: first, a brief reply following the question; next, an extensive explanation from "if a bodhisattva" onward; finally, a conclusion from "categories of sentient beings" onward. Within the text there are two parts: first, clarifying the contemplation gates; second, clarifying the phenomena contemplated. This is the first. It means that the contemplation gates taught are not only one or two, but up to immeasurable.
