問：豈不此品說利他行，如何初問自利行耶？答：護菩薩行通利自他，就勝說故，但言教化。

Question: Does this chapter not expound the practice of benefiting others? How is it that the first question is about the practice of self-benefit? Answer: Protecting the bodhisattva's practice generally benefits both self and others; because it is expounded in terms of pre-eminence, it merely speaks of 'teaching and transformation'.
