3.125

問：若爾，如何此經十恒菩薩現身成佛？答：但言現身，不道即成。何妨現身，餘界成佛，如《法華經》龍女現身，他方成佛。此亦應爾。

Question: If so, how is it that in this sūtra bodhisattvas numerous as ten Ganges sands attain buddhahood in their present bodies? Answer: It merely says "manifesting bodies," not that they instantly attain it [here]. What is to prevent them from manifesting bodies and attaining buddhahood in other realms? Just as in the Lotus Sūtra the dragon girl manifested a body and attained buddhahood in another region. Here too it should be like that.
