釋曰：第二、性種性。文別有三：初標位列名、次辨觀差別、後入位時分。此即初也。初學名習，數習成性故。十行乃名性種性也。

Commentary: Second, the nature-gotra. The text has three parts: first, designating the stage and listing the name; second, distinguishing the differences in contemplation; and last, the period of entry into the stage. This is the first. Initial learning is called "habituation," and because repeated habituation forms a nature, the ten practices are designated as the nature-gotra.
