釋曰：第三、入位時分。波羅陀者，若依《本記》，翻名守護。謂道種性位，其行堅牢、不失自性，名守護位。此明十行以二僧祇行正道法，得住十迴向也。若依《本記》配屬十行名道種性，便違經說伏忍聖胎三十人。

Commentary: Third, the period of entry into the stage. As for "bhārata," according to the *Original Record*, it is translated as "guarding and protecting." In the path-gotra stage, because its practices are firm and solid and do not lose their self-nature, it is called the guarding-and-protecting stage. This clarifies that by practicing the dharmas of the right path for two asaṃkhyeyas during the ten practices, one attains abidance in the ten dedications. If, following the *Original Record*, one assigns the name "path-gotra" to the ten practices, that would contradict the sūtra's statement concerning the thirty persons of the noble womb of suppression patience.
