Commentary: Second, specifically recounting the ten contemplations, namely the five appropriations, the three realms, and the two truths. As for "five appropriations," they are the five contaminated aggregates grasped by greed and the like, termed the five appropriated aggregates. By contemplating them, one attains the fivefold Dharma-body. Contemplating the three realms, one attains the patience of the three emptinesses. Contemplating the two truths, one attains the two patiences of impermanence and non-arising. As explained extensively above. Because these ten dharmas lack self- and other-characteristics as well as their true nature, and are unobtainable, they are all spoken of as empty.
