釋曰：第五、德慧菩薩。文別有三：初標位列名、次辨觀差別、後入位時分。此即初也。謂具律儀等三種戒德與慧俱生，故名德慧。

Explanation: Fifth, Guṇamati Bodhisattva. The text has three distinct parts: first marking the stage and listing the name, next analyzing the distinctions of contemplation, and finally the time of entering the stage. This is the first. Being endowed with the merits of the three kinds of precepts, such as the rules of discipline, arising together with wisdom, he is called Guṇamati (Virtue-Wisdom).
