釋曰：第二、顯地別行。文別有三：初修忍法位、次起五神通、後滅障分齊。就初位中，文復有二：初屬順忍、後辨住位。此即初也。謂順忍中有其三位，謂下中上。此第四地，於三忍中位在初忍，順聖道故，名為修行順法忍也。

Explanation: Second, showing the distinct practice of the bhūmi. The text has three parts: first, the rank of cultivating the dharma of patience; next, giving rise to the five superknowledges; and finally, the limit of extinguishing hindrances. In the first rank, the text again has two parts: first, belonging to patience of accord; and next, distinguishing the abiding rank. This is the first. It means that within the patience of accord there are three ranks, namely lower, middle, and upper. This fourth bhūmi, among the three patiences, is ranked in the initial patience; because it accords with the noble path, it is named 'cultivating and practicing the patience of accord with dharma'.
