釋曰：第二、勸王供養。文別有二：初示供養法、後別示行住供養。此即初也。法有六事：一九色幡長九丈、二九色華高二丈、三千枝燈高五丈、四九玉箱、五九玉巾、六七寶案。言九色者，依《本記》云「白黑黃赤青，此是五塵色，并四大色為九。四大色者，地依灰色、水依頗梨色水精、火作光色火珠、風作烟色。」

The explanation says: Second, encouraging the king to make offerings. The text has two distinct parts: first, showing the method of making offerings; later, separately showing offerings while travelling and while stationary. This is the first. The method has six items: 1. nine-coloured banners nine zhang in length; 2. nine-coloured flowers two zhang in height; 3. a lamp with a thousand branches fifty feet high; 4. nine jade boxes; 5. nine jade cloths; 6. a table of the seven treasures. Regarding the nine colours, according to the Original Record: "White, black, yellow, red, and blue—these are the colours of the five sense-objects—combined with the colours of the four great elements make nine. The colours of the four great elements are: earth is based on grey colour; water is based on sphaṭika-crystal colour; fire is made of luminous colour, fire jewels; wind is made of smoky colour."
