釋曰：第三、誡約囚禁不依法律。文別有四：一總標過失、二別顯過相、三「非法」等明非法囚禁、四「當知」等者結過重。此即初也。

The Commentary says: Third, admonition against imprisonment not in accord with legal ordinances. In the text there are four distinct parts: first, generally indicating the fault; second, separately revealing the characteristics of the fault; third, from "unlawful" onward, clarifying unlawful imprisonment; and fourth, from "you should know" onward, concluding on the gravity of the fault. This is the first.
