釋曰：自下第二大眾奉持。於中有二：初人王傷感、後天王嗟歎。前中有二：初明傷感、後顯受持。此即初也。十六大王聞佛七誡未來惡事，悲泣出聲，震動三千，諸光不現也。

The Commentary says: Below this is the second part: the great assembly upholds [the teaching]. Within this there are two: first, the human kings feel grief; afterwards, the celestial kings sigh in sorrow. Within the former there are two: first, clarifying grief; afterwards, revealing the upholding. This is the first. The sixteen great kings, hearing the Buddha's seven admonitions regarding evil events of the future, wailed aloud, shaking the trichiliocosm, and all the lights disappeared.
