解曰：所現淨土及諸佛等，展轉周遍十方佛剎。由此而言眾會忽覩故云變現，寧知未見淨土宛然？故《法華》云「眾生見劫盡，大火所燒時，我此土安穩，天人常充滿。」總是初列眾說，從此第二結申退坐。其義者何？

The commentary explains: The manifested pure lands, buddhas, and so forth successively pervaded the buddha kṣetras of the ten directions. In terms of this, the assembled congregation suddenly beheld them, hence it is called "transformation and manifestation"; how could one know whether the pure land was not already intact before it was seen? Therefore, the *Lotus Sūtra* states: "When sentient beings see the kalpa end / and it is consumed by a great fire, / this land of mine is tranquil and secure, / always filled with devas and humans." All this concludes the initial enumeration of the assembly. From here, the second part concludes with their expressing reverence and retiring to sit down. What is its meaning?
