解曰：初各散花，眾心渴仰，後成寶蓋，一法俱霑。又事雖多，真理唯一。又行雖眾，果必無差。又蓋與花非多非一，而性與相非異非同。此表散花成蓋不墜。從此第三覆諸大眾。

Exposition: First each scattered flowers, the minds of the assembly thirsting and looking up; later these formed a jewel-canopy, and all were equally moistened by the single Dharma. Moreover, though phenomena are many, the real principle is only one. Again, though practices are numerous, the fruit is necessarily without difference. Furthermore, the canopy and the flowers are neither many nor one, and their nature and characteristics are neither different nor identical. This signifies that scattering flowers to form a canopy does not fall down. Next is the third [section]: covering the great assembly.
