Commentary: The preceding paramārtha-satya clarified the emptiness of all dharmas; this saṃvṛti-satya clarifies the existence of all dharmas. Because the nature and characteristics are not separated in essence, just as in abandoning, realizing, and cultivating, it is explained next. "Due to worldly truth": this phrase is a general indication. "Due to" means by reason of. "Worldly" means destructible, referring generally to all contaminated and conditioned dharmas. As for "truth," it means examined and real. What is examined and real is destructible, hence it is called worldly truth. "Due to the three designations": this phrase is specific, referring to dharmas, reception, and names, fully explained as before; they are all worldly truth. From here, the second [part] specifically clarifies the various existences. The text is divided into three: first, clarifying the existence of the three realms.
