問：本後二智，體為同異？答：准此下經，由諦故二，智體唯一，了達一二真第一義。境二智一，至下當知。

Question: Are the fundamental cognition and subsequently attained cognition identical or different in substance? Answer: Based on the sūtra below, they are two by virtue of the truths, but the cognitive substance is only one, thoroughly penetrating both one and two as the true ultimate truth. The objects are two, but the cognition is one, as will be known below.
