Language
Classical Chinese

2.323

The commentary states: "First abode" refers to realizing suchness in the path of seeing, which is called the first abode. "One mind" is the true path of seeing of the one mind. "Endowed with manifold virtues" is as the earlier sūtra says: "Fully endowed with eighty-four thousand virtues." As for "within the ultimate truth," the object is in the locative case (the seventh case), meaning cognition realizes truth and is tranquil and immovable. This refers to initial entry into the bhūmi; the subsequent ones should be understood by analogy. Next, the second part clarifies the middling kṣānti. It is divided into two: first, clarifying the Vimalā-bhūmi.
