The commentary states: It marks the name of that bhūmi, clarifies the cultivation of the superior contemplation, and clarifies where the king abides. The activity-aspects of the two cognitions, the real and the conventional, conflict with each other; bringing them into harmony is therefore called 'equanimity.' 'Closely contemplating emptiness of emptiness': the first emptiness reveals suchness, while the latter emptiness expels characteristics—some speak of form and mind, others of self and dharmas. That is to say, within this bhūmi, principle and phenomena are illuminated together, hence it is called 'closely contemplating.' 'Without the two characteristics': one can unite what is difficult to unite, bringing them into harmony, because they lack two characteristics. From 'projecting forms' onward, it clarifies the realm of those who are transformed. 'Mi' means 'none.' Hereafter, the third part clarifies the bhūmi of Presence.
