解曰：唯佛等者，菩薩修證諸忍未圓，設後如前悉皆分故。唯有諸佛佛道齊，證解忍圓，故盡知也。從此第二忍位境智。於中分三：一標忍難量、二總相徵問、三分別解釋。且初第一標忍難量。

The commentary explains: 'Only a buddha, etc.' means that when bodhisattvas cultivate and realize the various kṣāntis, they are not yet complete; even if the later ones follow the earlier ones, they are all partial. Only the buddhas are equal in the Buddha-path, and their realization and understanding of the kṣāntis are complete; therefore, they know it exhaustively. From here, the second part concerns the objects and cognition of the stages of kṣānti. In this, there are three parts: 1. Indicating that the kṣāntis are difficult to measure; 2. A general inquiry; 3. Analytical explanation. First, the first part indicates that the kṣāntis are difficult to measure.
