Language
Classical Chinese

2.399

The commentary explains: Above, 'phenomena' refers to the phenomena of the aggregates and so forth. 'Identical with dharmatā' means identical with the nature of suchness. Nature and characteristics mutually rely on each other, their essence being inseparable; understanding that characteristics are precisely the nature, they are serenely empty. From here, the second part concerns contemplating emptiness directly through feeling. In this, there are three parts: 1. The purity of essential nature; 2. Clarifying that conditioning is unreal; 3. A general conclusion clarifying emptiness. First, the first part indicates the purity of nature.
