解曰：照境空寂，如虛空故。從此第二即智觀空。於中分三：且初第一明智照空。
The commentary states: The illuminated objects are empty and quiescent, because they are like empty space. Hereafter is the second [part], that cognition contemplates emptiness. In this there are three divisions: first, explaining cognition's illuminating emptiness.
