The commentary states: 'Profound prajñā' refers to correct cognition. 'Without knowing' means without conceptual discrimination. 'Without seeing' means without investigation. 'Does not act' means cognition merges with the real. 'Does not take objects as conditions' means there are no conditioned signs. 'Does not relinquish' means it does not change or cast off. 'Does not receive' means there is no experiential taking-in. These six meanings are all correct cognition. Another interpretation is: there is nothing it does not know, yet knowing, it is without knowing; there is nothing it does not see, yet seeing, it is without seeing; up to the sixth, there is nothing it does not receive, yet receiving, it is without receiving. These latter six meanings apply to both the real and the conventional. Moreover, among the latter six: 'acting' refers to the myriad practices; 'taking objects as conditions' refers to principle and phenomena; 'relinquishing' refers to material goods and Dharma, or great relinquishment; and 'receiving' refers to the real and conventional being non-changing and changing. Realizing the real and penetrating the conventional, one attains non-abiding. Hereafter is the second [section], explaining the absence of signs of illumination.
