解曰：此十四忍所有功德，三世諸佛如實能知，一切菩薩若賢若聖依忍修行悉皆稱讚。是故等者，若佛具說者，恐生犯亂，故佛略述少分功德。從此第四諸佛同修。於中分二：初諸佛同修、後明起淨信。初同修中，文分為二：初三世同修、後明必修習。初文復三：且初第一過現同修。

The commentary states: All buddhas of the three periods of time are able to know as it truly is all the virtues of these fourteen kṣāntis; all bodhisattvas, whether worthies or noble ones, cultivating according to the kṣāntis, praise them. 'Therefore, etc.': if the Buddha were to speak of them completely, he feared it would cause confusion and dispute; hence the Buddha briefly recounts a small portion of virtues. Hereafter is the fourth [part], that all buddhas cultivate it together. In this there are two divisions: first, all buddhas cultivate it together; second, explaining the arising of pure faith. In the first, cultivating together, the text is divided into two: first, shared cultivation in the three periods of time; second, explaining the necessity of cultivation. The first text again has three: first, shared cultivation in the past and present.
