解曰：此總明也。所言色者，質礙為性。從一色蘊，無始時來於諸界趣備受眾身，自類相生，生無量故。從此第二明所造色。

Exposition: This is a general clarification. What is called 'matter' has physical obstruction as its nature. From the single aggregate of matter, throughout beginningless time among all realms and destinies, one fully undergoes various bodies, producing their own classes and generating the immeasurable. From this point, the second [part clarifies] derived matter.
