解曰：舉根取塵，不明根也。五塵自類名數多大，大小乘教如常釋矣。從此第三明能造大。

Exposition: By citing the sense faculties grasping objects, it does not clarify the faculties [themselves]. The names and classifications within each of the five objects are so numerous and vast, as regularly explained in the teachings of the Great and Small Vehicles. From this point, the third [part clarifies] the primary elements that can produce [matter].
