Exposition: 'The three realms' refers to the loci upon which sensation relies. 'The six destinies' refers to the destinies in which sensation arises. 'All sentient beings' refers to those capable of arousing sensation. 'Brāhmaṇas and so on' clarifies the false discriminations of sensation. 'Brāhmaṇa' is translated here as 'pure intention.' 'Kṣatriya' is the royal caste. 'Vaiśya' follows the old translation; the new translation says vaiśya, which refers to merchants. 'Śūdra' also follows the old translation; the new translation says śūdra, which refers to farmers. Experiencing the four castes and apprehending superiority and inferiority leads them to create different karmas; all are termed sensation. From this point, the third [part demonstrates] the antidote to delusion.
