解曰：若取文字等者，明取著也。謂無分別不著文相是修實相，取文字相即非實相。從此第二明修實相。於中分二：一依文字修、二明佛智母。初文字中，文復分三：且初第一如文字脩。

Explanation: "If one grasps at the marks of letters" and so forth explains grasping and attachment. It means that being free of conceptual differentiation and not attaching to the marks of letters constitutes cultivating the true mark; grasping at the marks of letters is not the true mark. Next, the second part explains cultivating the true mark. It contains two sections: first, cultivating in accordance with letters; second, explaining the mother of the Buddha's cognition. In the first section on letters, the text is further divided into three parts: first, cultivating as with letters.
