Explanation: The sūtra text below immediately clarifies the two truths, and distantly concludes what precedes. As in the earlier extended outline, the first nine lines of sūtra text in the 'Chapter on Contemplating the Tathāgata' served as the general presentation of the question; from 'The Buddha told' down to this point above concluded the question and answer; from here to the end is the third part, which generally concludes the text above and clarifies the preceding principle and phenomena. The text has proximal and distal relations, and the meaning encompasses both general and specific; the reader will understand it. "The true nature is one" designates the principle realized; the substance of the suchness of dharmatā is one. "Sentient beings" encompasses all sentient beings, both noble and ordinary. "Types" refers to the three vehicles among the noble, and the six destinies among the ordinary. Considering humans alone, their categories are countless; how much less could the other realms and destinies be measured? "Faculties and practices": there are three kinds of faculties: superior, middling, and inferior. Practices have variations such as sudden, gradual, sharp, and dull. "Immeasurable" applies to the four categories above: first, sentient beings; second, types; third, faculties; fourth, practices. From the broad to the narrow, all are immeasurable, designating their multiplicity. "Are the Dharma gates one, or are they immeasurable?" raises two questions: Is the Dharma of prajñā expounded by the Tathāgata one Dharma gate, like the true nature, or are the Dharma gates immeasurable, like sentient beings? Next, the second section is the Tathāgata's general answer.
