解曰：是故等者，可以虛心融其妙旨。是故法門非一非二，破情計也。自上三門境智、文字及法門者，由依說聽如文字修，悟解法門非一非二，從淺至深明二諦故。從此第二明佛同說。於中分三：一明佛同說、二明功德多、三明受持勝。初明同說，文分為二：且初第一標佛同說。

Commentary: Regarding "Therefore," and so forth: one can empty one's mind to harmonize with its marvelous purport. "Therefore, the Dharma-door is neither one nor two" refutes sentimental attachments. As for the three doors above—object and cognition, written words, and the Dharma-door—it is by relying on preaching and listening to cultivate in accordance with the written words that one awakens to and understands that the Dharma-door is neither one nor two, illuminating the two truths from the shallow to the profound. Hereafter is the second section, clarifying that the buddhas preach identically. This is divided into three: first, clarifying that the buddhas preach identically; second, clarifying that the merits are many; third, clarifying that receiving and upholding it is supreme. The first part, clarifying the identical preaching, is divided into two: first, pointing out that the buddhas preach identically.
