Exposition: "The wisdom of all wisdoms" refers to the two cognitions, fundamental and subsequent, possessed by the Buddha. Not only are the letters and what they express, along with the bodhisattva, empty, but even the buddha-fruit, in which all marks are eternally quiescent, is also completely empty. Above, the separate explanation of the three kinds of prajñā has in each case encompassed cause and effect; the explanation of the text is finished. The second major section generally clarifies prajñā. This is divided into three: 1. generally indicating object and cognition; 2. separately explaining object and cognition; 3. generally concluding that all are suchness. First, the general indication of object and cognition.
