解住名者，巧不滯真，起悲愍物，真俗二行能雙修故，故名此住。上句二利，下句利他。如經說云「所修善根，皆為救護饒益安樂哀愍度脫一切眾生，令離災難出離生死證涅槃故。」從此第六明正心住。

Exposition: Explaining the name of this abiding: skillful in not getting stuck in the ultimate, giving rise to compassion for beings, and able to cultivate both the ultimate and conventional practices simultaneously, it is therefore called this abiding. The upper line refers to the two benefits; the lower line refers to benefiting others. As a sūtra says: 'The wholesome roots cultivated are entirely to rescue, protect, enrich, gladden, pity, and deliver all sentient beings, causing them to leave calamities, transcend saṃsāra, and realize nirvāṇa.' From here is the sixth, explaining the abiding of the upright mind.
