Explaining the name of the practice: Diligently cultivating, the mind neither regresses nor is distracted, so it is called the practice of non-yielding; the three karmas of diligence are its intrinsic nature. "Benefiting oneself and others": universally prompting all faculties to cultivate superior practices without regressing or yielding, able to benefit oneself and others. This is the practice of vigor. From here, the fifth is the practice of freedom from delusion and confusion.
