解曰：皆依此門者，彰同修也。若言越此等，非佛說也。是故等者，勸生正解。知見等者，如《智論》云「若智依止奢摩他故知，依毘鉢舍那故見。」此二依止三摩提，故信解也。以三摩提作用自在，解內攀緣，由有影像，彼名勝解。從此第二說偈重明。於中分二：且初第一標佛說偈。

Commentary: "All rely on this gateway" indicates their identical cultivation. "If it is said that one may surpass this..." means it is not spoken by a buddha. "Therefore..." encourages the arising of correct understanding. "Know, see..." is as the *Prajñāpāramitopadeśa* (*Dazhidulun*) says: "If cognition relies upon śamatha, it is 'knowledge'; if it relies upon vipaśyanā, it is 'vision'." Because these two rely upon samādhi, one has "faithful understanding." Since the activity of samādhi is autonomous and it understands internal cognitive conditioning through having images, that is called "superior resolve" (adhimukti). Next is the second [section], which restates it in verse. Within this there are two: first, marking that the Buddha spoke the verses.
