解曰：梵云提婆羅，此云天羅。言斑足者，以足斑駁，名斑足也。如《賢愚經》及《智度論》敘彼緣也。從此第二邪師灌頂。

Exposition: In Sanskrit, it is called Devala; here translated as Tianluo (Heavenly Net). Regarding 'Kalmāṣapāda' (Spotted-Foot), because his feet were mottled and spotted, he was named Spotted-Foot. This story is recounted in the *Damamūka-nidāna Sūtra* and the *Mahāprajñāpāramitā-śāstra*. From here, the second part shows the heterodox master conferring abhiseka.
