Explanation: "Sarvābhiṣeka" means here "all sprinklings/empowerments." "Abhiṣikte" means here "the consecrated." Translating the sense, it means: consecrating the crown of one's head with the method of consecration. As for the methods of consecration, in that sūtra there are five: namely, consecrating with a jeweled crown, mudrās, seals, water, and luminous names. The Yoga commentary states: "The syllable sa is the seed-syllable. The syllable sa expresses the meaning that all phenomena are undefiled and unattached. Because one contemplates that one's own mind, the minds of others, and the minds of all buddhas are of one and the same suchness, one attains compassion of the same substance; therefore, obtaining undefiled and unattached [virtue], one then obtains the Dharma-rain consecration from all buddhas of the ten directions and attains the supreme grounds." This means that on ground after ground among the ten bhūmis, one receives the supreme consecration and the empowerment of the three karmas, attaining unhindered eloquence in explaining immeasurable sūtras to vastly benefit others. Next, the third [phrase] is the line on emerging from the Dharma-ocean.
