解曰:言達磨者,此云法也。娑誐囉者,此云海也。三步諦者,此云出生。順此方言,謂從法海出生無礙解無斷盡也。《瑜伽》釋云「達字為種子,詮一切法染淨二體皆不可得。以正體智斷本識中俱生智障,則成法海流出教法,廣利樂故。」從此第四無間聽聞句。
Explanation: The word "dharma" means here "Dharma." "Sāgara" means here "ocean." "Saṃbhūte" means here "emerged." Following the idiom of this land, it means emerging from the Dharma-ocean with unimpeded comprehension that is unending. The Yoga commentary states: "The syllable dha is the seed-syllable, expressing that the two substances—defiled and pure—of all phenomena are both ungraspable. By means of fundamental cognition (mūla-jñāna) cutting off the innate obstacles to knowledge (jñeyāvaraṇa) within the root consciousness (ālaya-vijñāna), one then becomes a Dharma-ocean flowing out teaching-dharmas to vastly benefit and gladden [beings]." Next, the fourth [phrase] is the line on uninterrupted listening.
