解曰：捨王位者，有實捨位身隨出家；有捨王位高慢心故，發菩提心即出家道也。餘八勝等，具如前矣。大文第三聞法獲益。於中分二：且初第一大眾獲益。

Explanation: "Renounced their royal thrones": some actually renounced the throne and physically went forth as renunciants; others renounced the prideful mind of the royal throne, so that giving rise to the bodhicitta was itself the path of renunciation. The rest, such as the eight spheres of mastery, are fully as explained before. Main section three is obtaining benefits from hearing the Dharma. Within this there are two divisions: first, the great assembly obtaining benefits.
