解曰：彼諸王等因怖發心，因緣俱勝，聞法悟解，如普明王，故復云亦得空三昧，各誦持也。從此第三斑足悟解。於中分三：一斑足王問、二普明王答、三斑足悟解。且初第一斑足王問。

Explanation: Those kings generated the mind because of fear; causes and conditions were both superior; they heard the Dharma and awakened with understanding like King Samantaprabha; therefore it again says "also attained the samādhi of emptiness, and each recited and upheld them." From here, the third part concerns Kalmāṣapāda's awakening with understanding. Within this there are three parts: 1. King Kalmāṣapāda asks, 2. King Samantaprabha replies, 3. Kalmāṣapāda awakens with understanding. First, King Kalmāṣapāda asks.
