The commentary explains: When the Buddhas, the World-Honoured Ones, appear, it is for the sake of sentient beings to cause them to escape, and so they establish various names. Speaking of 'the three realms' shows superiority and inferiority. Speaking of 'the six destinies' shows the places of rebirth. Speaking of 'defilement and purity' shows defilement so that it may be severed, and shows purity so that it may be cultivated. This refers to the immeasurable names of the mundane and supramundane. Hereafter, the fourth part explains the characteristics of the antidote.
