Exposition: Explaining the name of this abiding: the three modes of action are bright and clean, free from defilement like a youth; their practiced nature being completed, nothing can destroy it; hence it is called the abiding of youthful purity. 'The three modes of action' and so forth: because body, speech, and mind are free from faults. As the old sūtra says: 'That is, their three modes of action are shared, and precepts, views, and training are shared, being the six harmonies and respects.' As that sūtra says: 'Bodily action is faultless, verbal action is faultless, mental action is faultless.' Diligently studying and practicing, they travel to countless worlds, receive countless Buddha-dharmas, manifest sovereign bodies of transformation, emit vast and all-pervading sounds, and in a single instant serve and make offerings to countless buddhas—this is the practice of the three modes of action. From here is the ninth, explaining the abiding of the Dharma prince.
