Exposition: Explaining the name of this abiding: speaking skillfully in response to capacities, wondrously fitting what is appropriate, they succeed the Dharma King; hence it is called the abiding of the Dharma prince. 'With expedients' and so forth: because their expedient expositions are all skillful, and they can skillfully tame sentient beings. As a sūtra says: 'The Dharma King's rules, the Dharma King's observations, the Dharma King's resting, the Dharma King's praises—all these they diligently study.' This is the practice of taming. From here is the tenth, explaining the abiding of coronation.
