1.100

如是一切名所學法，三世菩薩勤修此等，曾、當、現證無上菩提更無增減。諸出家者離攝親屬，棄世業務，能行梵行，捨證圓滿，住淨戒中，出言減信；諸在家者無是眾德，誠大尊高，真勝殊勝。

All such things are called the dharmas to be trained in. Bodhisattvas of the three times diligently cultivate these, and have realized, will realize, or presently realize unexcelled bodhi without any increase or decrease. Those who have gone forth are free from grasping relatives, abandon worldly pursuits, are able to practice celibacy, achieve perfection in renunciation, abide in pure morality, and their spoken words reduce doubt; those who are householders lack these many virtues; [the former] are truly great, exalted, genuinely supreme, and extraordinary.
