問：「諸所知障既不感生，如何斷彼得無住處？」答：「彼能隱覆法空真如，故斷彼時顯法空理，此理即是無住涅槃，令於二邊俱不住故。」

Question: "Since the cognitive obstacles do not cause rebirth, how does severing them result in non-abiding [nirvāṇa]?" Answer: "They can obscure the tathatā of the emptiness of dharmas; therefore, when they are severed, the principle of the emptiness of dharmas is revealed; this principle is precisely non-abiding nirvāṇa, causing one to abide in neither of the two extremes."
