「問前」下，二、問答顯宗、二：初、異乘躡跡問。此中文雖中道，義有二問：一即前後相違、二則疑今滅色。前拂疑中，空即是色，色存也；今云都無故，似相違。二乘不達，疑今滅色也。

From “Question: Previous…” downwards is the second [part], question and answer revealing the essential tenet, which has two parts: first, a question tracking the preceding text from the perspective of another vehicle. Although the text here addresses the middle way, in its meaning there are two questions: first, the contradiction between earlier and later; second, suspicion that the present [teaching] annihilates form. In the previous dispelling of doubt, form is emptiness and emptiness is form, so form is preserved; here it is stated that there is nothing at all, and so they seem contradictory. Those of the two vehicles do not understand, suspecting that the present [teaching] annihilates form.
