Within the praise of practice there are two parts: the first two phrases directly praise practice, and the latter phrase corroborates it. "Made offerings to immeasurable hundreds of thousands of buddhas": this phrase first praises the beginning of the bodhisattvas' cultivation of practice. "Planted roots of various virtues in the presence of the buddhas": this phrase praises the culmination of practice. These two phrases directly praise practice, but the eighth ground and above is the multitude of virtues, while the seventh ground and below is the root of the multitude of virtues. "Constantly praised by the buddhas": this single phrase is the second, corroborating the praise of practice, unlike the practice of the two vehicles which was sometimes praised and sometimes disparaged—first saying, "Following my Dharma, I am delighted," and then disparaging, calling them "parched grain seeds".
