「如是本末」此下是第三雙結兩章門，今言「如是本末」此結權智境章門，本則舉最初如是相，末則舉最後如是作也。「究竟等」者一因一果，究竟等者此結實智境章門。

"'Such root and branch'—from this point downward is the third, jointly concluding the two section headings. Now, saying 'such root and branch' concludes the section heading for the sphere of expedient knowledge: 'root' cites the initial 'such characteristics,' and 'branch' cites the final 'such action.' As for 'ultimately equal,' being one cause and one fruition, 'ultimately equal' concludes the section heading for the sphere of real knowledge.
