問者言：「若言因盡時而果盡者，羅漢何治道斷三界因盡之時報身即應亡？」解釋者言：「此報身是因餘勢任運而盡故。如用杖轉輪，假說此杖即滅而輪猶轉；羅漢三界因盡，於是時報身餘勢如輪也。」

The questioner asks: "If it is said that when causes are exhausted, fruits are exhausted, then when the arhat's path of remedy exhausts the causes of the three realms, shouldn't his recompense body immediately perish?" The commentator explains: "This recompense body is exhausted naturally by the residual momentum of the cause. Just as when a stick is used to turn a wheel, suppose the stick is immediately destroyed, the wheel still turns; when the arhat's causes in the three realms are exhausted, at that time the residual momentum of the recompense body is like the wheel."
