6.56

「迦葉當知」此下三行半，頌長行末第三述成今日之解。上述已解開權，略不述解顯一，既述開權，顯實自彰也。今此偈長出顯實之義，初有兩行半正頌上述開權，次一行長出顯實也。但上述開權中本有二，初正述解開權，二釋。今此兩行半唯頌正述句，不頌釋句也。

"Kāśyapa, you should know": below this are three and a half verses, reiterating the third part at the end of the prose, the confirmation of today's understanding. The previous [part] confirmed having understood the opening of the expedient, but omitted confirming the understanding that reveals the One; since it confirmed the opening of the expedient, the revealing of the real is naturally manifest. Now these verses additionally present the meaning of revealing the real: first, two and a half verses directly reiterate the previous confirmation of opening the expedient; next, one verse additionally presents revealing the real. However, within the previous confirmation of opening the expedient there were originally two parts: first, directly confirming the understanding that opens the expedient; second, explaining it. Now these two and a half verses only reiterate the line of direct confirmation, and do not reiterate the explanatory lines.
